Top News Briefing/ National Conference Leader Farooq Abdullah Questioned by Enforcement Directorate and Other Updates

Senior political leader Farooq Abdullah has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with his alleged irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association. His party, the National Conference, has however linked his questioning to Farooq Abdullah’s recent attempt at uniting all the parties in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir for restoring the special status of Jammu and Kashmir which was snatched away after the recent abrogation of Article 370.


Tejashwi Yadav Extends Support for Chirag Paswan : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is presently faced anger from all ends of the spectrum including the Opposition as well as ally turned enemy Chirag Paswan ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state.  But things seem to be getting more complex as RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav extends support for LJP leader Chirag Paswan who is contesting separately from the NDA and has been insisting that he remains a BJP ally even when he is fighting against its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming election. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that Nitish Kumar hasn’t been treating LJP leader Chirag Paswan well after the death of his father, this comment came days after the later confessed feeling let down.


Four Children Raped and Murdered in Maharashtra:In a horrific incident being reported from Maharashtra, four children have been physically assaulted and killed. Two girls aged 13 and 6 years and two boys 11 and 8 years who belonged to a tribal community were hacked to death with an axe and killed. The police allege rape and physical assault prior to death. No arrests have been made is this context so far.


More Rains Forecasted for Flooded Hyderabad: The city of Hyderabad has been witnessing incessant rains and due to the continuous downpour many parts of the city have been submerged in water and several people have also lost their lives. The death toll is estimated to be at 69 in the entire state of Telangana. The Weather Department has however predicted no respite for the state and has predicted that there will be more rain in the coming days.


Chinese Soldier Apprehended in Ladakh: In a latest development from the Indo-Chinese border, a Chinese soldier has been apprehend near the Chumar-Demchok area of Ladakh.  The soldier has been kept in captivity and it is believed that the soldier might have entered the Indian territory through some confusion. He will be returned back to the Chinese army according to the protocol.


BARC Charges Republic TV for Misrepresenting Private Communication: In its response to the claims made by the Republic TV regarding an email from BARC which gives proof that it had engaged in malpractices to boost its TRP, the agency said that it was highly disappointed with the broadcaster’s actions.


Tension Breaks Our at Assam-Mizoram Border: Recently tensions broke out at the Assam-Mizoram border after a violent clash took place between the two states leading to the injuries of many people. The situation has been brought under control at the border.
