Gandhi’s birth anniversary (2nd October) is approaching and on this occasion we wish to bring out a series of articles, research papers, creative reflections and articulations on him. Since Gandhi touched every aspect of our lives from the social, cultural and political to the personal and spiritual, he has become a thinker that the world has engaged with time and again. Moreover, his message of peace to humanity and a firm insistence on brotherhood despite rampant differences and all pervading violence makes his ideas worthy of discussion even today. Be it his weapons of truth, ahimsa and satyagraha or his non-violent movements of non-cooperation and civil disobedience, his struggles in South Africa, his ideas for a new kind of education premised on the Nai Taleem or his vision for village construction programs against untouchability- Gandhi’s life was truly experimental as well as extraordinary.

We are therefore making a request to our readers and authors to submit their write-ups in 800-1500 words by September 30,2021 on themes pertaining to one of the ideas below-
1. Gandhi’s educational vision
2. Rediscovering Gandhi in a conflicted world
Gandhi’s experiments with life and politics
4. Gandhi and the nation
5. Gandhi’s vision for India

Please mail us your submissions to thenewleam@gmail.com with a subject line ‘Submission for 2nd October Special’.
