On the 61st death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (6th December, 1956) the BBC has shared a rare interview video of Dr. Ambedkar.

In the interview the BBC journalist is engaged with Dr. Ambedkar and he is talking about the challenges of democracy in India and the role of communism. This interview took place in 1953, post the implementation of the Indian constitution.

In the interview Dr. Ambedkar argued that the Indian social structure was based on inequality and was thus incompatible to the existing parliamentary structure. He is also seen throwing light on important issues related to the election process, the future of the nation and the role of communism.
