INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL
The Independence Day reminds us of the values of freedom, peace, communal harmony and a collective sense of belonging. India as a nation struggled for its freedom in a way that all sections of the society including the rich and the poor, the elite and the masses came together in an unprecedented way. 74 years have passed since that historic day but we continue to face many of the challenges that we faced then including improper allocation of resources, rampant poverty, malnutrition and illiteracy. Good songs have the potential to transcend time and it is for this reason that we are sharing with you three songs that remind us of the sacredness of freedom as an ideal and the path that we still have to travel as a collective to fulfill our shared aspirations.
