Much to the relief of people of Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has gone ahead and said that the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has hit a peak in Delhi, and we may soon see the number of cases falling in the coming days.
He also said that his government was ensuring that the coronavirus cases in the Capital continued to decline and he was sure that with the steps that were being taken in this regard, the cases would come at a minimum very soon. The last couple of days have seen a massive surge in the number of infections in Delhi. But the chief minister has expressed hope that in the coming days, the infections will go down.
He also said that the only way to ensure that the coronavirus cases are tackled well is to ensure aggressive testing. He also said that it was due to massive testing that the number of coronavirus cases in Delhi have gone up. He said that with the steps that his government was taking in order to curb and control the coronavirus pandemic, the coming days would surely see a dip in the cases.
On Wednesday Delhi recorded 3,714 fresh coronavirus cases and the tally of the city as claimed to 2.56 lakh and the death toll has risen to 5,087. The city has so far seen the conduction of over 60,000 coronavirus cases. Delhi presently has 30,836 active cases.
