Rebellious MLAs from Karnataka government reached to the Supreme Court on Tuesday. They asked the Supreme Court to take immediate action against the Speaker Ramesh Kumar because he was not accepting the resignation of rebel MLAs. The MLAs had submitted their resignations on 5th July to the Speaker but they have not been accepted yet. Looking into the matter, they moved to the Supreme Court.
Former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa protested outside the assembly and asked for Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s resignation, so that BJP is be able to establish its government before the beginning of the assembly session from 12th July 2019.
From the last five days, rebellious MLAs were living in Mumbai’s hotel. On Wednesday, Congress minister Shivkumar went to meet them but he was denied to enter in the hotel by police and Section 144 was implemented.
He spoke to the media and said “I came here to meet my friends. My room is booked and there is a small miscommunication between us that need to resolve soon”.

The Supreme Court is likely to take up a plea by the rebels against Karnataka speaker K R Ramesh for not accepting the resignations of the rebel MLAs.
