In what can be called an extremely heartbreaking news for football lovers across the world, legendary player and icon Diego Maradona has passed away at the age of 6o years, Maradona was one of the greatest players of his generation and the news of his death is sure to leave behind an irreparable void in the world of football and global sports. Maradona suffered a cardiac arrest and died at a home in Tigre, Argentina. He had ben recovering from a surgery which involved the removal of a blood clot from his brain.
Maradona is one of the greatest players of his generation and he began playing at a tender age of 15 years as football ran through his bloods and he became an iconic player on the professional football stage and gained worldwide fame and admiration. He captained Argentina’s 1986 World Cup winning team and is widely accepted as the greatest footballers of all time. He was not keeping well for some time and was undergoing treatment for subdural haematoma which is a serious condition where a blood clot develops between the skull and the surface of the brain and is usually caused by a brain injury. He had also been admitted because he had not been keeping well psychologically. His physicians said that he had been keeping very sad for a week and had not been eating well over the last couple of weeks.
