On Monday during a live television interview, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern felt an earthquake strike but instead of being flustered, she chose to continue the interview with calmness. She looked around the room and told Ryan Bridge, the host of Newshub AM show,
“ Ryan I have just felt a bit of an earth quake here” . Ardern then assured the host that she was safe and said that the interview could resume.
The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 5.6 and its epicentre was near the North-East Pacific Ocean.The earthquake lasted for about 15 seconds and could be felt by people throughout New Zealand. Over the last ten years, New Zealand has experienced two to three major earthquakes that have caused major damage.
