No Question Hour during the Parliament monsoon session

The Parliament monsoon session is going to start from September 14 and end on October 1.  There will be no Question Hour during the monsoon session, according to a notification issued by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. Question Hour is the first hour of business in the house when members can ask questions of public importance. The opposition leaders including  Trinamool Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Derek O’Brien, MP Shahshi Tharoor and other leaders raised the issue and claimed that the ruling government is scared of opposition questions that’s why is using the COVID to avoid scrutiny.

 


PUBG mobile game banned in India : Amid tension with China in Ladakh, Indian government has banned PUBG mobile game and other 118 Chinese mobile application. 

The game is very popular in India, a report says that around 50 Million people are active PUBG players in India. The game ranks 5th in the world with 734 million downloads.

According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the mobile game has been banned along with the other Apps under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, on grounds that “they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”.

“This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace,” the statement said, adding that the move would safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users, reported NDTV.
