The condition of Yemen today is thought to be one of extreme ethical crisis. The on-going war and restlessness within the country has brought forward an environment of famine and rampant death because of unavailability of structural help. Three years of war between the Houthi Rebels and the Saudi backed forces loyal to exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi have caused immense pain and hardship for the ordinary citizens of the country. Crisis and difficulty have been going on in Yemen throughout the last many years and Yeminis only hope that the situation will soon alter.

A country like Yemen is entering its fourth year of being perpetually at war. The countless people who have been displaced from their homes and the widespread poverty and misery from the war have been aspects that have received little international attention. Yemen is considered to be the poorest nation in the Middle East and the war has been causing even more hardships for the nation.
The day that changed the lives of millions of Yemenis was 26th March 2015 when the entire sky above Yemen was full of aircrafts. People prayed that the war would soon end but even after three days they discovered that the problem continued. Today years have passed but the crisis in Yemen is still on. The life of Yemenis was completely paralysed; the streets were vacant; schools and universities were closed. Airstrikes were intensive and there was ground fighting in many cities and villages. Within just a month, more than 1.8 million people were compelled to flee their homes. There was a glimmer of hope when the airport reopened, and people were able to both come back and to travel abroad for medical treatment, education and other purposes. Students began studies and school and universities also reopened. But, unfortunately, now over 2 million Yemeni students are not in school.
It is estimated that 10,000 Yeminis have suffered due to health crisis as they could not go out of Yemen for medical aid. The accounts of those who could not travel outside Yemen as there was internal problems are not rare. The situation is such in Yemen that it appears like a famine where individuals find it difficult to make sure that they would even have their next meal. The fourth year of the civil strife has led to an enhanced problem. A large section of individuals depend on aid coming from other countries to secure a living.
Health problems such as dengue, malaria, fever, diphtheria and cholera have affected over 1 million Yemeni people over the last year. The anguish of prolonged illness and widespread disease is everywhere around the country. The people of Yemen are in the hope that with the work of the government and the help of outside political assertion the crisis that is rampant in the country will be stopped. The issue has gained such momentum that if something important is not ensured urgently then death, disease, disharmony, chaos and individual anguish will continue to enhance. The citizens of Yemen are requesting international agencies to realise the intensity of this problem and help them restore peace in their nation. The time has come when the people of Yemen must be given an opportunity to lead a life of dignity and happiness. The damage that the civil strife has led to has given them many years of disaccord and it is the ripe moment to give Yemen a calmer ambience.
We must acknowledge that Yemen and Yeminis have been suffering for many years now and the international community must work collectively to ensure that peace is restored in this country and its people begin a life of happiness.
