According to recent updates from the Rajasthan political crisis, CM Ashok Gehlot has said that the key party leaders would approach President Ram Nath Kovind and request for conducting an Assembly session if the need arises, keeping the present crisis in mind.
He also said that keeping the present context in mind, the party may stage a protest outside the prime minister’s residence if the need arises. Congress leaders gathered in large numbers outside the district headquarters in Jaipur and shouted slogans against the Opposition for allegedly trying to topple the state government.
The Congress government is pushing for a Assembly session that CM Gehlot can prove his majority after the revolt of erstwhile Deputy CM Sachin Pilot.
