In a worst case of cruel human behavior a women was badly beaten up by her employer for demanding her monthly salary.The case was reported on Saturday, 11th May, 2019 when a video showed a group of men and women beating a woman badly. The incident took place in Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park area where the women worked.
The 25 year old woman worked at a unisex salon in Kaushalya Residency area at Knowledge Park in Greater Noida. The woman allegedly asked her employer to pay her the dues which the employer owed but instead of communicating the employer with a group of other men and women started beating the girl in broad day light.
The video that went viral showed the woman was beaten up by a mob; she was dragged and pulled by her hairs. As she was getting tortured passersby did not intervene in the matter, they rather stood their witnessing and recording the entire scene.
The woman reported a complaint at Gautam Buddh Nagar Police station Greater Noida. Although she has alleged that the police official delayed the investigation because of which the accused could manage to flee.
Greater Noida Police has argued that they had filed an FIR against the three people in relation with the case. On Monday, police officials informed that the prime accused in the case Waseem, the Owner of the salon has been arrested and further investigation is taking place to nab the other two accused.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Knowledge Park, Arvind Pathak in his interaction with the media said “An information was received that an assault had taken place outside Venus Salon in Knowledge Park 2 area. The woman employee had been working briefly at the salon and had been demanding due payment. The argument soon turned into an assault. The video is being investigated. While the Noida-based owner, Waseem, has been arrested, others are being identified.”
While filing the complaint in her FIR the woman has reportedly stated that “They called me to the salon to collect my dues. But instead, they tried to rape me. When I resisted, they started assaulting me. There were four of them, the salon’s owner, two of his colleagues and another man who works there. They left the scene after bashing me up. I called 100 but the police was slow to respond. After I reached the police station to file a complaint, I was told that they (the accused) had already filed a complaint against me. The police didn’t pay heed to my request to file a complaint. The incident took place at Knowledge Park around 5.30 pm on Saturday. As the Knowledge Park police wasn’t willing to file a complaint against the accused, I met Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna, after which an FIR was registered.
The woman accused the owner for not paying her dues, when she had joined the salon in March as a makeup artist. During the time of joining she was promised a monthly salary of Rs. 17,000 but till date she had not received a single rupee of her salary.
