The latest claim by Nepal PM K.P.Sharma Oli is all set to spark controversy. PM Oli has made a stunning claim and said that Lord Rama had been born not in India but in Nepal and was therefore a Nepali and not an Indian. He claims that Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya village of Nepal.

PM Oli’s bizarre and controversial remark came when he was addressing a program to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bhanubhakta Acharya.

PM Oli said, “Although real Ayodhya lies at Thori City in the west of Birgunj. India has claimed that Lord Rama was born there. Due to these continuous claims even we have believed that deity Sita got married to Prince Rama of India. However, in reality. Ayodhya is a village lying west of Birgunj. “

PM Oli also alleged that India had been engaging in falsely claiming the birth place of Lord Rama when it was actually located in Nepal.

This controversial remark by the nepalese prime minister is sure to make Indians and especially the political leadership extremely angry and agitated. Both the countries have also not been experiencing the best of relationships and there have been tensions between the two off late. This was aggravated after Nepal recently updated its new map and included some Indian territories in it too.
