Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tell him that the major third wave of the coronavirus infections in Delhi have come about to a great degree owing to the worsening air quality the city among a host of other factors. PM Modi met the chief ministers of the eight worst affected states in the country to review the coronavirus situation there. He is also expected to hold a meeting with all the chief ministers to speak about the delivery of the vaccines.
India’s coronavirus tally has now reached 91,77,840 and the country reported a total of 37,975 new cases in total. The country’s toll increased by 480 to climb up to 1,34,218. The total recovered cases now stand at 86,04,955 and the number of active cases in India is 4,38,667.
