Deshbhakti Curriculum to Jan Lokpal: AAP Releases Manifesto

Delhi is in full election fervour and each political party is doing its best to woo the voters. Amidst all the election vibrancy and excitement, the Aam Aadmi Party released its election manifesto today and talked about the introduction of a ‘Deshbhakti’ curriculum in schools. 

The manifesto of the AAP government has been released ahead of the February 8 assembly polls in Delhi. It has 28 points as part of its agenda. The Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodhia while launching the election manifesto, said such a programmes will help to inculcate a sense of nationalism, love for armed force and respect for the tricolour among the students. He said that if his party were to come to power yet again, it would lay primary emphasis on education, healthcare and sanitation. 

We must remember that the Delhi elections are only a few days away and the three major parties contesting for power are the BJP, AAP and the Congress. 

All the three parties are seen intensifying their campaigns in the last leg of the poll preparation. 

The main components of AAP’s manifesto are the Deshbhakti curriculum, Jan Lokpal  and the issue of statehood. 

Among the other issues in AAP’s curriculum are doorstep delivery of ration, language status to Bhojpuri, appointment of safe karamcharis etc.  

The 28 point programme of the AAP also includes pursuing the Central government for the inclusion of Bhojpuri into the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. 

AAP has also promised a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of deceased safai karamcharis who die while performing duty. The party said it will ensure the doorstep delivery of ration cared and also 24/7 market on pilot basis.
