Floods in Odisha Affect Over 4 Lakhs People

The floods in the Mahanadi River in Odisha have affected over 4 lakh people and claimed nine lives so far.

The flood has affected 10 districts including Angul, Bolangir, Balasore, Boudh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Nuapada, Deogarh and Sonepur,as reported by NDTV.

Over 18,000 people have been shifted to temporary shelters. The state government has deployed NDRF and Rapid Action Forces.

The flood situation in Bihar is still grim, as over 83.63 people have been effected and 27 people have died so far. 

Similarly in the last three months, in Assam around 57 lakh people  have been affected by the floods and it has claimed the lives of 113 people.
