The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh addressed two election rallies in Delhi on Sunday and if one were to analyse the main pillars on which his speeches at both these rallies was premised, one would find some overarching ones.
Among the things that Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted were the Shaheen Bagh protest, allegations against the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal that while he couldn’t provide residents of Delhi with drinking water he was feeding biryani to the protestors of Shaheen Bagh, Article 370 and Pakistan.
It is to be recalled that the elections in Delhi are scheduled on February 8 and the capital is in full election fervour.
Yogi Adityanath appealed to the residents of Delhi to cast their precious votes in favour of the BJP and ensure that it comes to power in Delhi. He also said that the BJP government would make sure that those who don’t understand by words are made to understand through bullets.
He said, “Delhi needs to have a government like ours that promotes all religions and allows people of all religions to celebrate. We are not the ones who obstruct anyone’s festival or faith. Everyone should be allowed to celebrate their festivals, but within the law. But if someone shoots a gun at followers of Shiva, or indulges in rioting, and doesn’t listen to words, then he will listen to ‘goli’(bullets)”.
Speaking at Saurabh Vihar which is only a couple of kilometres away from Shaheen Bagh where women have been staging a protest against the contentious CAA for over one month, Yogi Adityanath was engaged in high pitched political rhetoric.
He also addressed a rally again not far away from a protest venue in Tughlaqabad.
He alleged that the Shaheen Bagh rally was a way of people venting out their anger against the scrapping of the Article 370 and the bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and over the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya.
He also said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was being the protest.
He also left no stone unturned to give the Shaheen Bagh protest a communal turn to the Shaheen Bagh protests and raised the issue of the distribution of biryani by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that unlike Kejriwal, the BJP government believed in both faith and development.
He said, “Kejriwal likes to feed the protestors in Shaheen Bagh biryani, not to work for the people of Delhi.”
He also accused the AAP and the Congress of encouraging anti-national elements.
He also said that whenever the BJP government does anything good for the country it was Kejriwal and Pakistan that felt the most pain.
He also accused Arvind Kejriwal of not caring for the Yamuna and being unable to provide clean water to the people of Delhi.
He also blamed for the violence at Jamia Milia Islamia last month. Yogi Adityanath concluded his speech by chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at the rally.
