The MHRD is constantly introducing new rules and regulations for Indian educational institutions. Their policies are completely against the freedom of educational institutions. There are millions of students and teachers who are facing hardships in doing their work. I mean in the last four years they have completely destroyed the idea and authenticity of Indian education. Their everyday strategies and planning such as appointments of close associates ( nepotism in appointments ) and unconstitutional rules ( fee hike, oppressing students and unnecessary rules) have destroyed the ethos of learning. There is a constant cycle of fear and torture going on. Their rules and regulations are not meant to develop the education system of the nation but to destroy its quality and saffronizing it.
The government idealizes private and foreign universities and is willing to adopt the similar model in our public institutions.we have seen its paradox! Recently a yet to be established institution Jio University was labelled as an institution of excellence. And our government institutions that have been catering to millions of students and producing quality education and research are nowhere in their priorities and are being intentionally destroyed.
After mapping their intention towards higher education we feel that higher education is going to be possessed by children of the elites. Do the children of farmers and labourers have no right to get educated?
There are many questions being raised every day. From TISS to JNU, students are constantly in fear. But we have not lost the hope. The night will be followed by the first ray of sunlight.
