On Saturday, the BJP came back to action in Maharashtra with a stunning entry into the political scenario. Meanwhile there was major political maneuvering that saw NCP leader changing sides more than once.
The Supreme Court has ordered that the Centre must produce the letters of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis claiming majority and that of the Governor inviting to form a government.
On Sunday a hearing was held by a three-judge bench which also issued a notice to Devendra Fadnavis, his deputy Ajit Pawar, the state and the Central government.
The Centre is supposed to produce all the documents to the court by Monday 10.30 am. The order has bypassed the Congress and the Shiv Sena’s demand roar age BJP be asked to take a test of strength at the floor of Maharashtra assembly within the next 24 hours. Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as the next CM of Maharashtra while Sharad Pawar has sworn in as his deputy. A large number of MLAs who attended the oath ceremony yesterday turned up at the NCP soon after, indicating that the party’s chief was right.
