Well-known veteran NCP leader DP Tripathi passed away on Thursday following a phase of prolonged illness. The NCP General Secretary passed away at the age of 69 years. Soon after the news of his death surfaced, NCP MP Supriya Sule said that she was saddened to hear about this and offered her condolences to the family.
She tweeted, “Deeply saddened about the demise of Shri DP Tripathi Ji.”
DP Tripathi was the General Secretary of the NCP and one of the most senior leaders of the party. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar also offered his condolences on DP Tripathi’s death. He tweeted, “ Saddened to Hera about the demise of our NCP General secretary Shri DP Tripathi ji. He was a scholar and a perfect blend of diligence and intelligence in politics. A firm voice who took a stand for my party as a Spokesperson and General Secretary. He has been with us since the establishment of the Nationalist CongressParty and played a very important role at the national level. His demise is a personal loss to me. May his soul rest in peace.!”
Condolence messages poured in from all political parties as the news of the demise of DK Tripathi surfaced. Politicians across party lines remembered him as a mentor and friend. Tripathi died after prolonged illness in Delhi.
