1. For a country like ours with heightened heterogeneity, the experience of unity has to be rhythmic. 2. Rhythmic Unity is not uniformity; it is not militaristic/toxic nationalism; instead, with empathy and shared humanity, it evolves a beautiful thread of connectedness. 3. Toxic nationalism with the might of majoritarianism is based on fear; it annihilates natural differences; it is against the spirit of pluralism. It is inherently violent. 4. Recovering the soul of India is like sharpening a new art of resistance that fights toxic nationalism as well as all sorts of nihilistic fragmentation, or narrow/limiting identity-based politics. Instead, with non-violence and ethics of care, it seeks to create rhythmic unity.
