As the elections are approaching in the state of Bihar, every move being made by the political parties contesting is being seen as having some sort of an impact on the poll results. In a latest development from the political battleground of Bihar, it is being reported that the Lok Janshakti Party(LJP)has decided to walk away from the NDA grand alliance. But the party has also declared that although it is walking out of the NDA grand alliance it will continue to support the BJP and fight the elections against the Janata Dal (United)(JD(U).
The decision was made after the party conducted a board meeting on Sunday. The LJP said that while there was a strong alliance between the LJP and the BJP at the national level, it was due to ideological differences with the Janata Dal United at the state and alliance level in the assembly elections that the LJP has decided to walk out of the alliance.
It has declared its decision to contest the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar alone. They have also highlighted that there can be many seats in Bihar where there can be a fight with the JDU and on such seats, the voter is free to go by their discretion.
The notification by the LJP also highlights that after the elections, an alliance will be formed between the BJP and LJP. There were many speculations doing the rounds that the LJP may end up breaking up with the NDA grand alliance and many political analysts feel that it is using this as a trick to attack the JD(U).
